A collection of funny, vivid, moving monologues from the people of Barnsley, by the award-winning LUNG Theatre. The streets of Barnsley are full of unheard stories. Through interviews with local people, Helen Monks and Matt Woodhead have adapted glimpses of life in the town into lyrical and revelatory monologues. Calling Barnsley was first produced as a phone box installation at Barnsley Civic arts centre, in January 2025.
