Ida the Cloud introduces readers to Ida, a dreamy cumulus cloud whose head is quite literally in the clouds. Thoughtful, curious, and full of ideas, Ida sees no difference between humans, animals, and plants – everything is part of the same living world. When her teacher, Mr Lightning Strikes, asks her to imagine a single New Years moment the whole world could share Ida’s answer is simple: people put down their phones and look up. This lyrical, gentle philosophical picture book celebrates imagination and joy found in shared moments. It invites children (and adults) to slow down and reconnect with the world.
