This third book by the Author is a stand-alone publication, but is an extension of the discovery history covered in Volume 1 of The Complete Story of Gold in Western Australia, and is a valuable adjunct to that two volume set. It is a more in depth look at the prospectors who made history and in many cases challenges written gold discovery history for Hall’s Creek, Nannine, Cue, Southern Cross, Norseman, Kalgoorlie, Menzies, Burtville etc. In particular, it brings to the forefront a number of prospectors much less well remembered, who played vital roles in opening up the goldfields of Western Australia and whom deserve as much recognition as the names which are part of goldfields folklore.
