Rape and organised crime sully even the pretty streets of the small Yorkshire town DC Donna Morris is beginning to think of as home. The National Crime Agency inevitably gets involved but their methods put more people in danger. Guns, though she used one once in anger and fear, are really not how Donna would prefer to nail the guilty. And there are some people who believe their actions are always justified.
