Flash fiction describes a very short story which should end with a twist a surprise perhaps even a shock. Creating one-hundred-word flash fiction stories is a passion of mine. If my original story begins with a word count over and above the one hundred words limit, I edit and edit and edit. The story always sounds better when Ive done that. I suppose these stories could also be described as micro stories flashes. I hope you enjoy them. Oh, and when the story first presents itself to you, please hide the last line with your hand, a piece of paper…whatever. We all need a surprise now and then. Pat Simmons.
