After six months of mourning, the wedding day for King Louis XIII and Princess Anne of Austria has finally arrived. Lord Henri St. Just, ambassador for the king, returns to France for a day of celebration with his family and friends. He’s also there to witness the inaugural mission of Princess Madeline’s soldiers, the Queen’s Musketeers. When a Huguenot breaks into the Louvre Palace, there is only one clear answer: He’s working with someone on the inside. King Louis sends Henri to Vienna, Austria, the center of the Holy Roman Empire. There, he discovers many secrets about the famous Habsburg family, the beautiful yet enigmatic Archduchess Adelaide, and her five-year- old nephew, Drew. He was sent to find the truth, but it could destroy everyone he holds dear.
