When Spider, Micha, and T.O. are flung back through time, they land beside a nine-year-old boy fleeing slavery with his family. That boy is Henry Highland Garnet, who would grow up to become one of the nineteenth century’s most powerful preachers and abolitionist orators, though few today know his name, and fewer still know he escaped bondage as a child. Guided by ancient drums and a glowing symbol from the past, the three friends and their fearless dog, Sparky, are called to witness a story the world has nearly forgotten. As eyewitnesses to Henry’s real journey from slavery to freedom, they come to understand the courage it takes to stand for what is right, and they discover that their mission is not to change the past, but to remember it, and to make sure others never forget.
