Buried alive in Ancient Greece two thousand years ago, Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, resurfaces in ’90s New Orleans with no memory of who she is or where she belongs. Recognizing that Persephone is barely hanging onto her sanity, her friends from Olympus spring to her rescue. However the power of the Greek gods is not what it once was and Hermes, Artemis, and the rest have taken on other names and integrated into the mortal world. With their help, Persephone begins to recover and find her place, but she can’t shake the feeling that something crucial is missing from her life. Hades has been at a loss since Persephone was taken from him, but he can’t rejoice at her return. A curse keeps him at a distance, unable to reunite with her in fear of an ancient and hungry force that stirs in the Big Easy. Though it devastates him, he’ll push her away just for her own good. But Persephone will not be denied the love she desperately craves.
