This is the story of Uniting Communities (UC) which evolved from the Adelaide Central Mission, created by the Methodist (now Uniting) Church over 120 years ago. It is a story of community support for people in need, through the provision of service delivery and through powerful advocacy to government and other authorities, fighting for social justice. Onwards and Upwards features individuals who provided leadership, staff with professional skills, and volunteers who give up their time to help others.
